Hindmarsh
Falls ... A delightful
bushland spot for a picnic only 8 km north of Victor Harbor just off the
Hindmarsh Valley Road. The falls viewing area is a 300m walk along a paved
walkway that follows the top of the gully. The open stringbark forest with
closed shrubland understory is a popular area for birdwatching and species
such as thrushes, wrens, treecreepers and Kookaburras can be found. Some
trails venture deeper into the valley and follow the river's edge. Naturally
the falls are at their best in Winter and after heavy rainfalls in the area.
